Mini Haul and Review!

Hello my lovelies!

Welcome to my new followers, thank you so much! You don't how much I appreciate it!

I know I haven't posted in about a week, I'm sorry. It always seems like the weeks just get away from me and before I know it I haven't posted in 10 days! I was so focused last week on my Harry Potter makeup tutorials, then I had the Harry Potter-A-Thon all day Thursday, and then I spent the rest of the weekend recovering from that haha!

But I did make it to Sephora and Target on Saturday and I picked up a couple things that I have been wanting to try. The first thing I got was the John Frieda Precision Foam Hair Color.
I have been wanting to color my hair for a while now. I had some Ombre highlights put in around October and then again in April. Now I loved it for the first few months (obviously since I had it re-done), but then I started feeling like I needed to go back to my natural color. I have very strong views on my appearance. I know what I like and I don't stray from it often. Every once and a while I switch it up, but when I know I want to look my best I stick with my tried and true formula. I prefer my hair to be a natural deep brown. It's rich, sexy and just looks fabulous! So I picked up the John Frieda color because I have been really wanting to try this new fangled foaming hair color. I really didn't see a difference between the foam color and traditional color, but I did notice that a LOT more color got on me than normal. I am pretty good at coloring my hair, but with the foam I had it all over me (even got it on the floor, which hasn't happened since I was 15!). I do have to say I loved the color! It was exactly what I wanted and just for that I will most likely use it again because I would like to keep this color for a bit.

Overall Score: B+

I picked up two items at Sephora, the first being Cover FX Total Coverage Cream Foundation. This foundation is a two-in-one product because it does the work of both a full coverage foundation and it works as a concealer. It also has an SPF 30 which is great for Summer. This foundation is favored among Dermatologists and is great for all skin types, but works especially well for problem skin. I have struggled with acne for the last few years, so I'm always looking for new products to help reduce and conceal my scarring, redness, and current breakouts. I have to say I was extremely impressed with this foundation. It does exactly what it says it will. This is also the first time in my life that I have found a product that matches my skin perfectly! My only con is that it is difficult to apply. In the compact, there is a little sponge but this foundation does not work well with sponges! It works much better with a stippling brush, but you do have to go back over with your fingers (or a damp sponge) to blend it perfectly. Also make sure you skin is clean, well moisturized and primed. Other than those little snafoos, I love this foundation and will use it for a while. It is a little pricey at $42, but if you take in the fact that it's two products, it's a little more justifiable. :)

Overall Score: B-

The next product I bought is one I have heard a lot about from other Gurus (i.e. Pixiwoo & Kandee Johnson) and have been DYING to try it for the longest time. The product is the Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage concealer! It is fabulous!! I absolutely love it. On the website, it claims that it will hide dark circles, discolorations, and minor imperfections. It does just that! I have never found a product that covers under eye circles more flawlessly! I really couldn't believe it. It also works great as an eye primer. The compact comes with two colors (a light and a dark) and the light color works beautifully to cover up discoloration on the eyelids and bring out the true pigment of your eyeshadow. What's also really great is that it's not the most expensive product ($28) so everyone can look great!

Overall Score: A

I will be filming a review for Yotube on these products, as well as a video on my Top 5 Beauty tips and my next tutorial. I will pace them out so I don't overload everyone!

As always thank you so much to all of you for reading and watching my videos. It means so much to me and I hope I am able to keep these tutorials and blogs coming for many years to come!

Remember stay fabulous my lovelies!
xoxo, Lacey
